About Laura

Unlike a lot of bakers out there, I didn’t grow up in the kitchen with my Mom or Grandma. I don’t have a book of family recipes, and I had absolutely no background in baking before I found my passion for it at age 25. I’ve basically taught myself by trying different recipes over and over.
In my kitchen, I find myself at ease. It’s the only place I truly lose track of time. I can shut off anything else going on in the world and lose myself in a fresh batch of dough.
I left Corporate America March of 2019 to start my first business – personal training. I soon found myself taking on “side hustle” orders for my baked goods and thought “why can’t I do both things that I LOVE?!” So, here I am, a walking oxymoron – a treat baking personal trainer (and I wouldn’t have it any other way).
While I currently live in the DFW area, I was born on the East Coast, lived on the West Coast and spent the majority of my life in Oklahoma before relocating here to Texas.
